ARRESTS

Deputy Hammond arrested Cody Randal Cox from Goodwater, AL. on two warrants for Burglary 3rd and Theft of Property 3rd. He was  processed and placed in the County Jail to await trial.

Deputy Keel arrested Matthew Blake Mann from Alexander City, AL. on two warrants for Bond Revocation . He was processed and placed in the County Jail to await trial.

Deputy Hammond arrested Chad Eric Frye from Weogufka, AL, on a warrant for Theft of Property 2nd. He was processed and placed in the County Jail to await trial.

Deputy Jones arrested Christy Nicole Chaffin from Goodwater, AL on a warrant for Probation Violation. She was processed and placed in the County Jail to serve a 5-day sentence.

Deputy Jones arrested John Henry Lecroy from Birmingham, AL. on the charge of Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and released on bond to await trial.

STEWARTVILLE COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to Hardy Lane after receiving a report of Theft of Services. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 78 after receiving a report of an Assault. A report was completed and the warrant process explained.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 150 after receiving a report of Harassment. A report was completed and the warrant process explained.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving reports of cows in the roadway. The Deputy assisted the owner in putting the cows back in their pasture.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of Harassment. A report was completed and the warrant process explained.

WEOGUFKA COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 35 after receiving a report of horses in the roadway. The Deputy assisted the owner in putting the horses back in their pen.

Deputy Burke attended the Weogufka Neighborhood Watch Meeting where he presented the monthly crime report for the area.

A Deputy served an out of county warrant on a resident of County Road 29. He transported the subject to the county line where he turned them over to the other agency.

HANOVER COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 34 after receiving a report of a stranded motorist. The Deputy assisted the motorist without incident.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 34 after receiving a request for a funeral escort. The Deputy completed the escort as requested.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a stranded motorist. The Deputy assisted the motorist without incident.

MOUNT OLIVE COMMUNITY

Christopher Nathan Walker a convicted Sex Offender that resides on County Road 66 came to the Sheriff’s Office to update his quarterly sex offender information.

GOODWATER COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of vicious dogs running loose. The Deputy spoke to the owner of the dogs and warned them about the dogs being loose.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of an Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. A report was completed and the warrant process explained.

Olen Cleophus Kelly a convicted Sex Offender that resides on Old Dam Road came to the Sheriff’s Office to update his quarterly sex offender information.

KELLYTON COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to Church Street after receiving a request for a funeral escort. The Deputy completed the escort as requested.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 81 after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance. A report was completed for Domestic Violence 3rd /Assault, and the warrant process explained.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of a lost vehicle tag. A report was completed for the lost property.

Kellyton Medics, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. One person was transported to Russell Medical Center and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

Kellyton Medics and a Deputy were dispatched to Hwy 115 after receiving a report of a possible overdose. The subject was checked and was determined to be ok and refused transport to the hospital.

Kellyton Medics, Deputies and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to County Road 77 after receiving a report of a one-vehicle accident. The driver was transported to Russell Medical Center and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 46 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

Kellyton Medics were dispatched to Lightwood Street after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

Kellyton Medics were dispatched to County Road 126 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

Kellyton Medics were dispatched to County Road 85 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

RICHVILLE COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 17 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The Deputy found the vehicle and determined that the person had no reason for being in the area and was asked to leave.

ROCKFORD COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 23 after receiving a report of cows in the roadway. The Deputy assisted the owner in putting the cows back in their pasture.

Rockford and Richville First Responders, Sylacauga and Goodwater Ambulance, Deputies and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. There were two reported fatalities and three transported to area hospitals. The scene was turned over to the Coroner and the Trooper.

COTTAGE GROVE / HISSOP COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 30 after receiving a report of a church burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the church and determined that a member had set the alarm off by accident.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 30 after receiving a report of livestock in the roadway. The Deputy assisted the owner in putting the animals back into their pasture.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 30 after receiving a request for a funeral escort. The Deputy completed the escort as requested.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 30 after receiving complaints of loud music. The Deputy spoke to persons with the loud music and they agreed to turn it down.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 30 after receiving a report of a church burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the church and determined that members had set the alarm off by accident.

Kellyton Medics were dispatched to County Road 93 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

EQUALITY COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 259 after receiving a report of a civil disturbance. The Deputy spoke to both parties and the issue was resolved without incident.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of gunshots in the area. The Deputy patrolled the area and found no evidence of the gunshots.

LAKE MARTIN COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to Pine Needle Lane after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

A Deputy was dispatched to Cook Road after receiving a report of Trespassing. A report was completed and the warrant process explained.

Deputies were dispatched to Cedar Drive after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputies checked the residence and determined that someone had broken into the residence. A report was completed for Burglary and Theft of Property and the case is under investigation.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hummingbird Lane after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

ARRESTS

Deputy Keel arrested Ollion Kentrell Wright from Jacksonville, FL. on two warrants for Failure to Appear/Burglary 3rd and Theft of Property 3rd. He was processed and released on bond to await trial.

Deputy Smith arrested Kamelya Wynee Holley from Alexander City, AL. on two warrants for Failure to Appear on Negotiating a Worthless Instrument. She was processed and released after fines were paid.

Deputy Keel arrested Ramiro NMN Ibarra Jr. from Equality, AL. on a warrant for Assault 3rd. He was processed and released on bond to await trial.

Deputy Smith arrested Eliga NMN Benson III from Sylacauga, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation. He was processed and released after serving a five day sentence.

Deputy Smith arrested Jerry Jermaine Hayes from Goodwater, AL. on two Grand Jury Indictments for Operating Vehicle without Insurance and No Driver’s License. He was processed and released on bond to await trial.

Deputy Keel arrested Kodi Rashad Bivens from Montgomery, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation. He was processed and placed in the County Jail to await trial.

Deputy Smith arrested Thomas Brandon Hadaway from Daviston, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation. He was processed and released after serving a five day sentence.

Deputy Burke arrested Isaac NMN Taylor III from Alexander City, AL. on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Domestic Violence 3rd-Harassment. He was processed and placed in the County Jail to await trial.

Johnny Ray Patterson a convicted Sex Offender that resides on Canyon Drive came to the Sheriff’s Office to update his quarterly sex offender information.

STEWARTVILLE COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after resident reported hearing gunshots in the area. The Deputy patrolled the area and no evidence of anyone shooting was found.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 41 after receiving a report of horses in the roadway. The owner had put the animals up prior to the Deputy’s arrival.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 78 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

Weogufka First Responders and Sylacauga Ambulance were dispatched to Fox Ridge Court after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.

A Deputy was dispatched to Palmer Road after a resident reported finding some lost property. A report was completed and the property retrieved.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 29 after receiving a report of Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

A Deputy was dispatched to Jackson Street after receiving a report of a civil disturbance. The issue was resolved after the Deputy spoke to both subjects.

Weogufka First Responders, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to County Road 29 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

HANOVER COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 75 after receiving a report of Menacing. A report was completed and the warrant process explained.

MOUNT OLIVE COMMUNITY

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 49 after receiving a report of a stranded motorist. The Deputy assisted the motorist without incident.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 42 after receiving a report of an Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. The vehicle was returned and no report was wanted.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The Deputy located the vehicle and determined that everything was ok.
